My first year student film at Calarts, completed in 2011. Music is done by Phillip Wareborn Sound design done by Glenn Hafagre.

Set in the 1930s, a street magician has affections for the beautiful Miette - a professional illusionist. However, what stands between him is a powerful family member of the italian mob.

The film was animated in paper and pencil, which was then alpha channeled and colored into Photoshop. The backgrounds were done in Photoshop, and After Effects was used for comp. Final Cut Pro was used to put all the shots and film together.

*Recollection* There are two versions of this film, one that was cut for Producer Show standards and the original one (this one). I did not make the producer show for my first year - but I was happy it didn't make the show because the cut was so fast paced and hectic. Serenade to Miette was my first short film, and so I learned so much about film making just by developing it. I had the most fun with the short because there were no real expectations that would come out of this, and that I could really just enjoy animating what I want. Therefore, this makes Serenade to Miette my favorite film and my favorite cal arts experience thus far!

My second year film done at Cal Arts during the year 2012 remastered with color corrections and motion blur effects.

During a paint over job, a young woman wakes up in a fantastical world and befriends a one winged dragon. In the painted world, the artist rediscovers her love for her work.

Animation done in Flash. Photoshop for Backgrounds. Composition in After Effects. Final Cut Pro to put it all together.

My third year film at Cal Arts. The sound has been remastered to further emphasize the films' haunting nature.

A mother wolf breaks into a hunter's den and takes back her pup, only to find it a stuffed trophy. She sings to her cub a goodnight's lullaby, hoping her child would finally sleep. Little does the mother know, a young hunter is already on her trail.
